Jim-Jam Oats

Day 234 (20th April)

My, oh my, were these oats good! I got inspiration from some oats I saw on Instagram, but I changed up quite a few things to get it to taste better with the ingredients I had at home!

Here's the recipe for these strawberry-caramel oats:


  • 1 cup of oats⁣

  • 1 tablespoon of caramel

  • 1/2 cup of milk

  • A splash of vanilla

  • A spoonful of strawberry jam

  • 3 teaspoons of chia seeds

  • Two Jim-Jams (for topping)


  • Combine the oats, caramel, milk, and vanilla in a bowl.

  • Add three-quarters of the batter to a greased ramekin.

  • Microwave the jam for thirty seconds — to make it more viscous (NOT hot).

  • Add three teaspoons of chia seeds to the jam.

  • Add the jam mixture on top of the batter in the ramekin.

  • Top with the remaining batter.

  • Add a Jim-Jam to the centre of the oats.

  • Add crumbled pieces of the second Jim-Jam on the sides.

  • Bake for 12 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius in a pre-heated oven.
