When Gob Bakes

Day 286 (11th June)

This is possibly the most hazardous dish I've made.

I'm all for using leftovers — I use them way past their "expiration date." However, this time, I think I made a huge mistake.

I used frozen strawberry sorbet that has been in my freezer for almost half a year. In hindsight, I realise what a stupid mistake that was — who uses six-month-old food? Apparently, me!

Anyway, I used the strawberry sorbet with some leftover cheesecake batter. Again, I know this sounds bad. It was.

Since this was supposed to be a cheesecake bite, I had to make a biscuit base. That also tasted disgusting because I used salty biscuits. God knows what my thought process for this was.

Even though I left the cheesecake in the fridge for over ten hours, it did not set. That was, fortunately, the red flag that made me realise something was wrong.

You'll be glad to know that I came to my senses and washed the "bite" down the sink.

Never again.
